As little as humanly possible. White refined sugar is very bad for the body. Substitute sugar with Sucanut (comes from the sugar cane, but organic and healthier than refined white sugar because it hasn't lost all nutrients). You can get it at any health food store and sometimes the health section of… your grocery store. It seems sugar is in everything we eat and drink, more now than 100 years ago and Americans are also fatter than ever today. No doubt, sugar is one of the causes. For your long term health, as little as possible. Complex carbohydrates, such as fruits, vegetables, beans, legumes, and grains, contain all the "sugars" your body needs, without having to consume any simple sugars such as table sugar (sucrose) or soda sugars (in the form of high fructose corn syrup). The total amount of calories from fat should make up around 30% of your diet. Each gram of fat contains 9kcals. So for example, If you were consuming 1500kcals a day then 30% percent of those calories should be fat. Calculations: 1500kcals / 100 X 30 = 450kcals 450kcals / 9 = 50 grams So… a person consuming 1500kcals a day should consume around 50 grams of fat per day. This does not mean to say all these calories should be saturated fats (bad fats). These calories should be consume with unsaturated and polyunsaturated fats (good fats) as well. For an average person on a 2000 calorie diet, 20g should be the minimum intake of overall fats, with a maximum of 60g. No one should consume over 20g of saturated fats, and trans fats should be avoided completely. (MORE)

In general, mice need about a teaspoon of food every day. It's wise to check at various times, though, to make sure that the dish isn't empty. Your mouse may eat more or less than the average. Also make sure to try and keep a balanced and constant diet, dont give it two spoons one day and only one …annother day. It should eat ruffly the same amount each day (MORE)
your dog may be getting too much water....try giving your dog less water throughout the day and see if it helps, if not you might want to have a vet check it out.
The average adult should have a minimum of 2000mg-3000mg of potassium per day. This can be achieved through the natural consumption of certain kinds of foods, particularly fruits and vegetables. There are circumstances where potassium is readily lost and needs to be replenished in excess of the mini…mum daily amount listed above. The number is smaller for children and infants. Anyone with concerns of potassium deficiency, due to food allergies or special dietary requirements, where natural sources for potassium are precluded; should consult a doctor about the exact dosage they need to supplement each day. Potassium is essential for muscle health, particularly the heart. A deficiency, among other things, can cause muscle cramping and in extreme cases, can cause death. People on "low carb diets" will find they need to take special care to get the proper amount of potassium each day, as potassium is used in the ketosis process to diffuse byproduct chemicals left in the bloodstream; therefore additional potassium is needed regularly to replenish the body's potassium stores. Potassium is diffused by the kidneys, through sweat, urine or other bodily excretions. In this manner, excess potassium is removed from the body through urination and sweating. Barring kidney trouble, it is difficult to actually overdose on potassium, but not impossible. People should consume more potassium after intense sweating, if your diet is high in salt or in case of abnormal or extraordinary bodily excretions (such as vomiting or diarrhea) as these will result in a loss of potassium in the excreted bodily fluids. Supplemental potassium can also be needed if you are on certain kinds of heart medicine. Muscle cramps are typically a sign of one being low in potassium. (MORE)
Under ideal conditions, the minimum sodium requirement is about 1,500 milligrams (mg) of sodium each day. This is less than 1 teaspoon of table salt. The maximum recommended level of sodium intake is 2,300 mg per day.
What are the seven main food groups eaten by adults and how much of each group should you eat daily?
they should have 1. Milk & dairy food 2. Fruit & vegetables 3. Food containing fat & sugar 4. Bread, cereals & potatoes.
It sometimes varies with different dogs. If the dog is getting ample exercise everyday then 1 cup twice a day (one in the morning and one in the evening) would be good. Again, depending on the dog, 1 heaping cup once a day would be fine too.. Most dog foods give recommended servings based on the we…ight of the dog. It's best to follow this and adjust as needed. If you see your dog is loosing weight add a little more, if is gaining weight reduce. Foods have a wide range of protein and fat levels as well. (MORE)
Koalas only eat approximately 50 of the 600 different eucalyptus species in Australia. Each koala eats around 400 to 600 grams of eucalyptus leaves each day. Eucalyptus leaves contain approximately 50% water so koalas generally do not need an additional water source. The word "koala" is aboriginal f…or "doesn't drink", although they have been known to drink water. answer found at: http://www.querycat.com/faq/6798e92889702bc665851212bb3858b2 According to the Australian Koala Foundation, an adult koala eats between 500 grams and one kilogram of eucalyptus leaves daily. Hi, Recommended daily amount: 1/4 to 1/2 cups of high-quality dry food a day. Here are some guidelines in feeding your Chihuahua: http://dogtime.com/dog-breeds/chihuahua/feeding
i think that an adult should eat three full meals and eat small snacks to keep health nice and so the digestive system will not eat too much at the full meals
A man between the ages of 19 and 30 with a sedentary lifestyle needs 2,400 calories; a more active male requires 200 more. Females between the ages of 19 and 30 with a sedentary lifestyle require 2,000 calories per day; a more active lifestyle requires 200 more as well.
If you're talking about a growing puppy, feed them liberallybecause they grow up fast, and I mean fast! Especially is they'reGerman German Shepherds as opposed to American German Shepherdswhich are smaller. Once they reach their full growth -my two dogsgot to this point at 2 1/2 years old- they shou…ld eat twice a day,two cups of food each if they're fixed, three if they're not. Also,I include in one of their meals an egg, some milk, cheese oryogurt, and some canned food. Try their food to be good qualitybecause it will show in their fur and their energy level. A goodway to know if food is good is to smell it; the smell should becloser to meat than to corn flakes. Good luck with your dog, starttraining him/her early, otherwise they will outsmart you. Water isfuel for German Shepherds, they drink a lot so have always a bigcontainer with fresh water available for your dog. Ps if you want to make your dog extra big feed him alot a day like3 times and lots of water and milk and walk it 4 times a day andkeep him ou in a shed or somthing that's good training . Hope this helps XD (MORE)
None. No cat should ever be fed dry cat food as it can lead to diseases such as diabetes, which has become an epidemic in the US since dry cat food has become commercially available. Because your cat is male, it is especially vital to make sure he is thoroughly hydrated. Male cats are much more… susceptible to urinary tract infections (UTI's) which is often caused by not enough water over a period of time. Dry food contains no moisture, so is quite dehydrating. Cats are notoriously bad drinkers, even when they are thirsty. This is because they have evolved to get all their needed moisture from their prey (their ancestors were cats that lived in very dry and arid environments where water was hard to come by). It is a trait that has been passed down over the thousands of years. Canned or pouched food has anywhere between 60 to 80% water. Seeing as in the wild a cat's prey is around 70% water, wet food provides a cat with more than enough water each day. Your cat should eat canned or wet food that is low in carbs if you want a truly healthy cat. Any amount of dry food is not good, even when combined with canned food. Dry food is junk food, and just as we humans would prefer to eat potato chips over healthier options, cats will choose dry food over canned because the food has been enhanced to make it taste better and more appealing than canned or wet food. Cats are strict carnivores, meaning they do not need vegetables, fruits or grains in their diets to be healthy. Look for food that is has little to none of these items in the food. fast food = unhealthy its all about the calories. an average man should take around 2500and around 2000 for women Women should eat 1500 to 2000 calories a day and men should eat2000 to 2500 calories a day. 1 meal per meal time(not always) As much as you are hungry. Do not confuse this with how much… you want to eat, this is how much you need to eat, as inwhen your stomach is no longer asking for food rather than how muchyour brain wants to eat. If you start listening like this, you will find yourself unable topig out on sweets and you shouldn't put on any weight. (MORE)

Depends on the cat. Smaller, lighter cats will naturally eat less, whereas a bigger or bulky cat will eat more. That said, a cat will eat far more if fed a lower quality food to get the nutrition it needs, and less if fed a premium quality food. The best way to find out how much you should feed y…our own cat is to keep an eye on his or her weight. They will try to convince you they can eat anything, but here's my standard answer: Human foods in large quantities are not really good for dogs, but in controlled amounts the following should be fine: cooked meat, carrots, apples, peanut butter, rice, cheese (although I have heard of dogs being all…ergic to cheese, not sure if that's true so I'd ask a vet first) Those are the favourite human-foods of most dogs. There are others they can eat though. TOXIC: onions, chocolate, garlic, cooked bones...that's all I can think of off the top of my head. If you're not sure, don't feed it to them. (MORE)
There are so many variables I can not give you absolute answer. First: Shelties vary a lot in size. The breed "standard" calls for a range of 13 inches to 16 inches at the shoulder. That is a big difference in itself, and then considering they can often range from 12 inches to 18 inches. So, size… is a factor. Secondly: just as people, each dog varies in their metabolism. Thirdly: activity level. Fourthly: the brand of dog food. The best gauge to determine if the amount you are feeding your dog is his body. Look at him and feel him. You want to "just" be able to feel his ribs and his hips. But you don't want the bones protruding. A good quality food, first listed ingredient "meat". Some decent kibble is Innova, Canidae, Premium Choice, Natural Balance, Wellness, Eagle Pack. There are many others on the market more recently as well. For a "larger" Sheltie, I would start around 1/2 cup in the morning and 1/2 cup in the eve. See how he does, and vary from there. (MORE)
Depends on whether it is male or female, also whether it is an English Labrador or an American Labrador. I would estimate around 60-70lbs.
\nWhen it's involving a puppy they should eat about 1 ounce to every pound they weigh, but for an adult it should be a 1/2 ounce for every pound the dog weighs. Or about 7.5 OZ of food. Probaly wouldn't be bad to give it half a cup... \n
Compared to a premium wet food or raw food diet, no. Although, a high quality dry food which is free of grains such as Orijen, Felidae and Applaws are far better than lower-quality dry foods. Unfortunately many, many dry cat food brands are not very good for the cat in the way of nutrition; dry f…oods and low-quality wet foods are often packed with carbohydrates - "filler" in the way of corns and grains, none of which cats can digest. Grain is used instead of meat because it is cheaper to produce and helps the kibble pieces hold together. So much difficultly digestible carbohydrates can cause a cat to vomit or have loose stool, or it is simply stored as fat. Some obese cats have gotten that way because of low-quality dry food. A good quality wet food (high in Meat content and grain free such as Felidae, Blue Buffalo, Wellness, Eagle Pack etc.) is far better for a cat as far as nutrition is concerned. Cats are strict carnivores, so get all their energy from Protein and Fat which is abundant in meat. Premium wet foods contain quality meat sources and no grain. Another thing wet food has an advantage has over dry food is the moisture content. Dry food contains no moisture, so is quite dehydrating. Cats are notoriously bad drinkers, even when they are thirsty. This is because they have evolved to get all their needed moisture from their prey (their ancestors were cats that lived in very dry and arid environments where water was hard to come by), so therefore have a low "thirst drive" and will not often seek out water on their own. This is a trait that has been passed down over the thousands of years. Canned or pouched food has anywhere between 60 to 80% water. Seeing as in the wild a cat's prey is around 65%-75% water, wet food provides a cat with more than enough water each day. Many dry foods and low-quality wet foods are often packed with carbohydrates - "filler" in the way of grains and cereals, none of which cats can digest or gain any nutrients from. Grain is used instead of meat because it is cheaper to produce and helps kibble pieces hold together. Cats need MEAT based protein, not PLANT based protein. Lastly, it is not proven that dry food cleans a cat's teeth. Kibble is hard and brittle, so shatters at the tips of the teeth - providing little or no cleaning friction. Dental issues usually start under or around the gumline, so kibble is usually ineffective. Some cats don't even chew; they will just swallow the kibble whole. However, some cats will have perfect teeth no matter what food they eat, while others will not benefit at all. To clean a cat's teeth effectively, you could brush your cat's teeth with a pet toothbrush and paste, or serve pieces of raw chicken. Chewing raw meat uses the whole tooth and massages the gums and is said to be the most effective way of keeping good dental health. All in all, you could feed both wet and dry, but dry food only really serves as a convenience to us, and provides very little for your cat. There are some decent dry foods out there that are free of grains and have a good meat source, but even that will never compare to the nutrition of canned food. (MORE)

There is no correct answer for this, as how much a kitten eats can depend on several factors: The kitten's age, size, activity level, appetite and the quality of food being fed. A cat's food is also a huge factor in how much it eats: A cat will eat far more if fed a lower quality food to get the nut…rition it needs, and will eat much less if fed a premium quality food that has a high meat content and no grains. Kittens on growth spurts also tend to eat much more also. Kittens can eat as little as 100g or 200g of canned/pouched food and as much as 400g or 500g in a day. Kittens often need much more food than an adult cat as they are still growing and developing. It is advised to feed as much as it wants until it reaches a year old. Be sure to feed small but frequent meals, especially for younger kittens as they have small stomachs. (MORE)
