How much should an old labrador dog eat daily?
Labradors are known for being stomachs on legs. A good amount of food is from 2 to 2.5 cups of food per day. The higher quality the food the better. You can also give your dog treats throughout the day. And, if your dogs stomach can handle it, you can give them table scraps as well.

The total amount of calories from fat should make up around 30% of your diet. Each gram of fat contains 9kcals. So for example, If you were consuming 1500kcals a day then 30% percent of those calories should be fat. Calculations: 1500kcals / 100 X 30 = 450kcals 450kcals / 9 = 50 grams So… a person consuming 1500kcals a day should consume around 50 grams of fat per day. This does not mean to say all these calories should be saturated fats (bad fats). These calories should be consume with unsaturated and polyunsaturated fats (good fats) as well. For an average person on a 2000 calorie diet, 20g should be the minimum intake of overall fats, with a maximum of 60g. No one should consume over 20g of saturated fats, and trans fats should be avoided completely. (MORE)
A cat should eat enough calories to satisfy its metabolic needs - this is based upon age, weight and exercise level. For a typical 10# adult cat, approximately 1 cup of dry kibble or 2-3 cans of cat food (the larger size, not the Fancy Feast size) should be adequate. A cat with chronic renal failur…e (crf) should modify the diet to decrease the protein and sodium content but the calorie count should remain consistent (unless the cat also needs to lose weight). There are several prescription diets available from your veterinarian that have been specifically formulated for cats with renal disease - they are more expensive, but they are also the best dietary option for cats with low kidney function. depends on weight and activity levels plus type of food you're giving it. mine has one bowl of James wellbeloved large breed a day. he is only small though and is walked a mile a day.
Answer . You have to go by the bone structure and weight of the dog. Just phone your vets (free of charge) and give them the weight, the breed and they will tell you. I would rather ask my vet then go by the recommendations on the dog food (if it's dry food.)
It's hard to say unless we know the breed, mix, sex, stature, weight, and brand of dog food. In general, you can raise or lower the amount of dog food based on weight trends in your dog. A healthy-weight dog will have a defined waist when looking down from the top (the waist is between the rum…p and the rib cage). A healthy dog's ribs cannot be seen, but they can be felt if you run your hands along the dog's torso. Consult with your vet for a diet regimen that's appropriate for your dog. however much he wants until he throws it all up. then start over again.. NO!!! . if the dog throws up that is not OK. you can go to your local vet and get your dog a checkup then ask the vet how much food is ok for your dog, witch dogs that are outside dogs will usually eat more but your vet will know for certain because of your dogs height and weight. 10kg everyday It depends on how old/big,and the bread of your dog i have a 1 year old chocolate lab 100 lbs we give her 2 cups of food. It also depends on what kind of dog food you are feeding him/her.The food bag will say like age weight amount hope this helps! (MORE)

The average adult should have a minimum of 2000mg-3000mg of potassium per day. This can be achieved through the natural consumption of certain kinds of foods, particularly fruits and vegetables. There are circumstances where potassium is readily lost and needs to be replenished in excess of the mini…mum daily amount listed above. The number is smaller for children and infants. Anyone with concerns of potassium deficiency, due to food allergies or special dietary requirements, where natural sources for potassium are precluded; should consult a doctor about the exact dosage they need to supplement each day. Potassium is essential for muscle health, particularly the heart. A deficiency, among other things, can cause muscle cramping and in extreme cases, can cause death. People on "low carb diets" will find they need to take special care to get the proper amount of potassium each day, as potassium is used in the ketosis process to diffuse byproduct chemicals left in the bloodstream; therefore additional potassium is needed regularly to replenish the body's potassium stores. Potassium is diffused by the kidneys, through sweat, urine or other bodily excretions. In this manner, excess potassium is removed from the body through urination and sweating. Barring kidney trouble, it is difficult to actually overdose on potassium, but not impossible. People should consume more potassium after intense sweating, if your diet is high in salt or in case of abnormal or extraordinary bodily excretions (such as vomiting or diarrhea) as these will result in a loss of potassium in the excreted bodily fluids. Supplemental potassium can also be needed if you are on certain kinds of heart medicine. Muscle cramps are typically a sign of one being low in potassium. (MORE)

Labs like to eat, and they won't stop eating until whatever they are given is gone. (This is why dog food companies actually don't usually use Labs for food testing, because Labs just eat everything--they're not picky.) Because of this, Labs are prone to putting on too much weight--and having a f…at dog whatever breed is basically abuse. It is the responsibility of a dog's owner to make sure that the dog is not too thin AND that the dog is not too fat. Labs need a lot of exercise, too: at least one preferably two vigorous walks per day and/or swimming sessions. If your Lab isn't getting at least this level if activity, you need to increase it. If your Lab is active, then you can feed him or her more--and if your Lab is more sedentary, then you absolutely must feed him or her less. You have to factor in whatever treats or food scraps your dog is getting, too. The way to tell if your Lab is the right weight is this: looking down at your Lab from the top, there should be a distinct waist between the rib cage and the hips. If there is no waist, the dog is too heavy. In addition, you should NOT be able to see any ribs when looking at the Lab (that would mean the dog is too thin), but you SHOULD be able to FEEL ribs when you run your fingers along the rib cage. If you can't, then the dog is too heavy. The amount of dog food depends on the dog's activity level and on the calories in the food. However, Labs often have to eat MUCH less than other breeds because they have a slower metabolism--and the guidelines on dog food packaging usually mean you'd be giving too much food for a Lab as a result. Depending on your brand of dog food, your Lab might get only 1.5 to 2 cups of food a day + treats during the day. Labs loose weight fast, incidentally, so I would recommend feeding 2 cups. If you notice weight going on by the tests I mentioned above after a week or so, then start reducing the quantity by 1/4 cup at a time for a week each time. You may actually find that your dog goes through phases and needs more food during certain parts of the year (e.g. summer, when more active) and less during others (e.g. winter, when more sedentary). In the end, use the waist and rib tests above to gauge where you dog is at, and then adjust the amount of food in 1/4 cup increments up or down until you get the desired result. (MORE)
As much as humanly possible: ideally, two long, vigorous walks a day + a chance to swim or play in a body of water (or at least get used to water) + at least two 15-minute obedience training sessions + plus wrestling or tug-of-war + a Kong or rawhide chew a couple of times a week.
11-13 year old's should times their current weight by 0.455 Ex: An 11 year old that weighs 85 lbs should eat 38.6 oz. of protein
that's hard to answer with out more information. It all depends on the size and age of your horse. it also depends on how much work your horse does. on the back of the sack of horse feed.. it tells you the guideline daily amounts and how much your horse should approximately be eating
Mine eats Burns dog food, hes nine months old, has plenty of energy, lovely coat and teeth and he eats twice a day plus treats.
This depends on how much you need to eat but if you want the answerI suggest you look it up on a health website such as health.com.
Fresh water should be provided at all times. Your dog will drink when she or he is thirsty, hot or simply worn out. If you don't provide enough water, your dog will become dehydrated. You only need to change the water every day or two so it's fresh and clean.
u should excercise 10-13 minutes daily depending on how u feel, . be sure no to push ur self and exercise maybe once every 2 days . don't go crazy and do 300 crunches but doing maybe 30 a night is good . be sure to eat well and don't starve ur self . if u barely eat and then excercise a whole lo…t then ur body keeps the calories instead of burning them . drink lots of water , water helps flush out extra fats that cause u to weigh an extra pound or 2 . remember weighing ur self without clothes gets ur accurate weight because ur clothes & shoes weigh bout 5 ib. . be strong and stay fit ! . I found the three beers and shot of rum is normally enough for them. lol Seriously, I don't know if there is a limit to the amount of water Labradors can drink. Bassy, my lab, drinks only what he feels is right for him. I have never kept tabs on the amount that he drinks. You need to remember …that labs are a water dog and the only dog to have webbed toes. They were bread as fishing dogs, so water is what they love the most. I cant keep Bassy out of the water, lol. However, if you feel that your dog is drinking to much then I would consult a vet. They will be able to tell you if they are over consuming. (MORE)
Puppies need to eat a lot--and not too much. You should be able to feel but not see their ribs, and they should have a visible waist when you look down at them. This is true for puppies of any breed, big or small. *It depends a lot on the breed. For example, yorkies eat much less than mastiffs. L…ook on the dog/puppy food bag for the amount your dog should eat. Though amounts on the bag are always the maximum to give your dog. (MORE)

If you're talking about a growing puppy, feed them liberallybecause they grow up fast, and I mean fast! Especially is they'reGerman German Shepherds as opposed to American German Shepherdswhich are smaller. Once they reach their full growth -my two dogsgot to this point at 2 1/2 years old- they shou…ld eat twice a day,two cups of food each if they're fixed, three if they're not. Also,I include in one of their meals an egg, some milk, cheese oryogurt, and some canned food. Try their food to be good qualitybecause it will show in their fur and their energy level. A goodway to know if food is good is to smell it; the smell should becloser to meat than to corn flakes. Good luck with your dog, starttraining him/her early, otherwise they will outsmart you. Water isfuel for German Shepherds, they drink a lot so have always a bigcontainer with fresh water available for your dog. Ps if you want to make your dog extra big feed him alot a day like3 times and lots of water and milk and walk it 4 times a day andkeep him ou in a shed or somthing that's good training . Hope this helps XD (MORE)
You can buy any type of biscuit for you stomach on legs. They can start from around a couple cents a piece on up. You can also give your dog leftover from your food if your family is not good about eating them.
fast food = unhealthy its all about the calories. an average man should take around 2500and around 2000 for women Women should eat 1500 to 2000 calories a day and men should eat2000 to 2500 calories a day. 1 meal per meal time(not always) As much as you are hungry. Do not confuse this with how much… you want to eat, this is how much you need to eat, as inwhen your stomach is no longer asking for food rather than how muchyour brain wants to eat. If you start listening like this, you will find yourself unable topig out on sweets and you shouldn't put on any weight. (MORE)

A twelve year old should eat healthy at this age because at this age the twelve year old's are growing up and their whole body is changiing.
There is not prescribed amount, but many people around the world eat about a half cup of yogurt with breakfast almost every morning.
There are so many variables I can not give you absolute answer. First: Shelties vary a lot in size. The breed "standard" calls for a range of 13 inches to 16 inches at the shoulder. That is a big difference in itself, and then considering they can often range from 12 inches to 18 inches. So, size… is a factor. Secondly: just as people, each dog varies in their metabolism. Thirdly: activity level. Fourthly: the brand of dog food. The best gauge to determine if the amount you are feeding your dog is his body. Look at him and feel him. You want to "just" be able to feel his ribs and his hips. But you don't want the bones protruding. A good quality food, first listed ingredient "meat". Some decent kibble is Innova, Canidae, Premium Choice, Natural Balance, Wellness, Eagle Pack. There are many others on the market more recently as well. For a "larger" Sheltie, I would start around 1/2 cup in the morning and 1/2 cup in the eve. See how he does, and vary from there. (MORE)

There is no correct answer for this, as how much a kitten eats can depend on several factors: The kitten's age, size, activity level, appetite and the quality of food being fed. A cat's food is also a huge factor in how much it eats: A cat will eat far more if fed a lower quality food to get the nut…rition it needs, and will eat much less if fed a premium quality food that has a high meat content and no grains. Kittens on growth spurts also tend to eat much more also. Kittens can eat as little as 100g or 200g of canned/pouched food and as much as 400g or 500g in a day. Kittens often need much more food than an adult cat as they are still growing and developing. It is advised to feed as much as it wants until it reaches a year old. Be sure to feed small but frequent meals, especially for younger kittens as they have small stomachs. (MORE)

Well, they all have to eat so right away! But seriously, start as a puppy with puppy chow. I would reccomend consulting with your veterinarian about a specific car…e plan for your dog's personal needs. (MORE)

About one half cup a day. But it really depends on the Pomeranian if you have a over weight dog then you might want a little less or talk to your dogs veterinarian.
you really shouldn't feed cooked meat to a dog, that's what an average person would say but i say screw them!! a dog requires real meat not some crap processed food that was manufactured in an assembly line in some factory in Mexico hell no i feed my dog organic chicken and organic produce i do…n't trust dog food and guess what? my dog has never been healthier it is 10 years old and still feels like its 4 years old and in your case i would say the same amount you would give a kid because bigger dogs require more food you know???. Depends - if you adopt from a place like PAWS or Anti-Cruelty (which I highly recommend), it's $95 to $275, depending on whether you get a puppy or a dog, and from which agency. If you go through a reputable breeder, it can cost thousands. Pet shops and backyard breeders, which are riskier in terms …of knowing what you're getting, could be anywhere from $400-$1000 or more, depending on where you go. For my rescued lab, it costs around $5 a day for food, and we've spent about $1000 in vet bills in the first year, even after PAWS covered a lot of the initial expenses (turned out he has mild elbow issues, which are common, but spent $400+ on xrays to find out!!!). We've spent hundreds on toys, but he likes blankets, pillows, shoes, and by far tennis balls (the orange chuck-its) the best! (MORE)

The short answer is, a lot. Labrador Retrievers were originally bred to be field dogs, working as guides, trackers and retrievers of shot birds and other game. They have a lot of energy and a lot of stamina, so you will need to run your puppy ragged on a consistent basis. I would suggest at least on…e hour of play/run in the morning and another 2-3 hours of playing, running, walking and work in the evenings daily. However, if you can do more, that would be a good idea. Labradors who get bored and have too much energy often become destructive, tearing up furniture and various items (such as baseboards, shoes, curtains, etc). This is simply their way of burning off energy, but it makes for a very unhappy household. (MORE)
