What is a pedigreed dog?
a pedigree is a certificate proving/certifying that your dog is a pure breed. Thus a pedigreed dog is a dog with a pedigree, so it is a pure breed dog

They can or cannot be. It depends on if the poodle was breed with a non-pedigree dog.
Pedigree dogs are purebred (both of the Dog's parents were the same breed) and have their ancestries recorded and logged by the Kennel Club. Well-bred purebred dogs are tested… for possible genetic faults that could be passed down. Breeding dogs are also often Champion show dogs who are deemed as a perfect example of the breed. Non-pedigree dogs could be purebreds without papers or crossbreeds. These dogs may or may not be tested for health and temperament. Pedigree dogs have up to five generations of family history recorded and are completely purebred. If you buy a purebred without Kennel Club pedigree papers then technically it is not purebred as you have none of the Dog's ancestry recorded to prove it.
Not all Border Collies are pedigree, but yes, Border Collies are bred for show and they can have pedigrees.
When a dog has a pedigree it's bloodline can be traced back many generations in order to be able to tell if the animal has the quality of bloodline that it is claimed to have.… It is like a family tree.
2nd Answer: You should get a copy of your dog's pedigree from the breeder but if you cannot then go to the AKC and request one by using your dog's AKC number. You will have to… pay for it but you can request a 3 generation or 4 generation pedigree. Just go to AKC's website. I hope your dog is AKC registered so you can get one. 1st Answer: on craigslist
yes, it has been tested by scientists, and it works.
Purebred dogs are often unhealthy because years and years of breeding based on certain genes often leads to inbreeding. Inbreeding can cause a number of various disorders in d…ogs. Also, instead of continuing to breed healthy dogs, dogs with certain physical characteristics are bred instead regardless of any health issues they may have as the goal with purebreds is often monetary as opposed to helping bring a healthy, smart companion into the world. Below is an article on issues with purebred dogs.

It depends on what kind of pedigree dog that you choose to get. And it also depends on the breeders you get the dog from. The average price of a pedigree would be between (min…imum) $350.00 and $1000 (maximum). I got a pedigree Shih Tzu and she was $450.00. Just a little word of warning... if you get the dog when it is a puppy, keep shoes put of it's reach... especially high heel shoes too! Also they are pretty delicate and can get sick easily.... DO NOT FEED YOUR DOG CHOCOLATE OR ONIONS! The best thing to feed them is dry dog food. Small dogs Cesar, big dogs Dog Chow or Beneful. Hope this helped! :D
A typical pedigree is made of a dogs ancestors. Depending on the person making the pedigree or specific registering body it will contain various information about the ancestor…s. Like titles, health testing, color, ect. A 3 generation pedigree contains parents, grand parents and great grand parents. Which a total of 14 possible ancestors and 8 ancestors in the 3th generation. Each consecutive generation has double that of the previous generation. So the 4th generation (great great grand parents) would be 16 dogs and a total of 30 dogs in the entire pedigree (14+16).
